OFFICAL RULES
These are the official rules for the Cook Community Raffle 2026/27. By purchasing a ticket, entrants agree to be bound by these rules. Participating organisations must also comply with the separate Participant Terms and Conditions and reconciliation requirements issued for the raffle.
1. About the Raffle
The Cook Community Raffle 2026/27 (Raffle) is a community fundraising initiative coordinated through the Office of Simon Kennedy MP to support participating eligible charities, sporting clubs, school P&Cs and other not-for-profit community organisations.
Participating organisations are allocated raffle tickets to sell on behalf of their organisation. The organisation selling a ticket is the beneficiary of that ticket sale and retains the proceeds it raises from those ticket sales, subject to these Rules and applicable NSW community gaming requirements.
The Raffle is conducted in New South Wales and is subject to the Community Gaming Act 2018 (NSW), Community Gaming Regulation 2020 (NSW) and other applicable requirements.
2. Participating Organisations
Only organisations approved to participate in the Cook Community Raffle may receive and sell raffle tickets.
Participating organisations may include eligible:
· charities and not-for-profits;
· sporting clubs;
· school P&Cs;
· community organisations; and
· other charitable or not-for-profit organisations.
Each participating organisation must comply with the Cook Community Raffle Participant Terms and Conditions and all reasonable directions relating to ticket distribution, sales, reconciliation and returns.
The participating organisation selling a ticket must be identifiable in the records relating to that ticket.
3. Ticket Price and Entry
Raffle tickets are $3 per ticket or $25 for a book of 10 tickets.
Each individual ticket purchased constitutes one entry into the Raffle. Entrants may purchase multiple tickets or ticket books, with each individual ticket providing a separate entry in the draw.
A ticket is valid only where it has been legitimately issued and sold as part of the Cook Community Raffle and the required purchaser information has been completed.
Purchasers must provide sufficient and legible contact information to enable them to be contacted if their ticket is drawn.
Participating organisations are responsible for safeguarding all tickets issued to them and accounting for all sold, partly sold and unsold ticket books.
4. Ticket Return Deadline
All sold ticket stubs, unsold tickets and required reconciliation documentation must be returned to the Office of Simon Kennedy MP by Monday, 21 June 2027.
Participating organisations may continue selling their allocated tickets up until they are returned, provided all required sold ticket stubs, unsold tickets and reconciliation documentation are received by the return deadline.
Only valid sold tickets that have been properly returned, reconciled and accepted into the Raffle will be included in the draw.

6. The Draw
The Cook Community Raffle 2026/27 will be drawn as follows:
Date: Friday, 25 June 2027
Time: 3:00pm
Location: Office of Simon Kennedy MP, Level 1, 30 The Kingsway, Cronulla NSW 2230
All valid sold tickets returned and accepted into the Raffle will have a fair and equal opportunity of being drawn.
Prize-winning tickets will be selected randomly. Prizes will be drawn in the order listed on the printed raffle tickets, from Prize 1 through to Prize 7.
Once a ticket has won a prize, that individual ticket will not be eligible to win another prize. A person who has purchased multiple tickets may win more than one prize if separate tickets held by that person are drawn.
7. Eligibility
The Raffle is open to members of the public who are legally eligible to participate.
Persons directly responsible for conducting the draw or determining prize winners are not eligible to enter.
Any other person prohibited from participating under applicable NSW community gaming laws is also ineligible.
8. Winner Notification and Publication
Winners will be determined at the draw on Friday, 25 June 2027 at 3:00pm.
Reasonable efforts will be made to contact each winner using the contact details provided on their winning ticket.
All winners will be notified by no later than Monday, 28 June 2027.
Raffle results will also be published at www.simonkennedymp.com.au.
Entrants are responsible for ensuring the contact details provided on their ticket are complete and legible.
9. Claiming Prizes
Winners have three months from the date of the draw to claim their prize.
Winners must provide reasonable evidence that they are entitled to the winning ticket before their prize is released.
The Office of Simon Kennedy MP will provide each winner with information about the collection or redemption of their prize.
Where a prize is supplied by a third party, the winner must also comply with any applicable conditions imposed by the prize provider.
10. Unclaimed Prizes and Redraws
The Raffle organisers will make reasonable efforts to locate and contact each prize winner using the information provided on the winning ticket.
If a winner cannot be located or a prize remains unclaimed at the end of the three-month claim period, the prize may be subject to a redraw, where permitted and in accordance with applicable NSW community gaming requirements.
Any redraw will be conducted fairly and randomly from the remaining eligible entries. Details of any redraw, including its date, time and location, will be published at www.simonkennedymp.com.au, and any replacement winner will be contacted using the details provided on their ticket.
Nothing in these Rules prevents the Raffle organisers from taking additional reasonable steps to locate and award a prize to the original winner before conducting a redraw.
11. Ticket and Draw Integrity
Every participating organisation is required to account for all tickets issued to it.
Before the draw, participating organisations must return their sold ticket stubs, unsold tickets and required reconciliation information.
All valid sold tickets accepted into the Raffle will be represented in the draw.
If an issue is identified with a ticket, return or reconciliation before the draw, the Raffle organisers may take reasonable steps to investigate and resolve the issue before determining whether the ticket constitutes a valid entry.
The Raffle organisers may reject a ticket that is counterfeit, altered, duplicated, improperly issued, unpaid or otherwise invalid.
12. Changes to the Raffle
The Raffle organisers may make changes to the administration of the Raffle where reasonably necessary, including because of circumstances outside their control.
Any material change affecting entrants, including a change to the date, time, location or manner of the draw, will be communicated or made publicly available within a reasonable period before the draw in accordance with applicable NSW requirements.
The current version of these Rules will be published at www.simonkennedymp.com.au.
13. Prize Availability
Prizes have been donated, supplied or arranged by third-party businesses and organisations.
If a prize, or part of a prize, becomes genuinely unavailable for reasons outside the reasonable control of the Raffle organisers, the organisers will deal with the affected prize in accordance with applicable NSW community gaming requirements.
Nothing in these Rules is intended to remove any rights a winner may have under applicable law.
14. Privacy
Personal information collected through raffle ticket sales will be used for the administration of the Raffle, including verifying entries, conducting the draw, contacting winners, awarding prizes, maintaining required raffle records and meeting applicable legal or regulatory requirements.
Personal information will not be used for unrelated purposes except with consent or where permitted or required by law.
15. Disputes
Any question or dispute concerning a ticket, eligibility, the conduct of the Raffle or the claiming of a prize should be raised with the Office of Simon Kennedy MP as soon as practicable.
The Raffle organisers will consider disputes fairly and reasonably having regard to these Rules, the Raffle records and applicable NSW community gaming requirements.
Where required, a matter may be referred to the relevant NSW regulatory authority.
16. Responsibility of Participating Organisations
